Jail Visitation

VISITATION SCHEDULE & RULES

Please review the following if you are planning on visiting an inmate at the Cass County Jail. If you have further questions or do not understand certain rules, please call (402) 296-9377 during regular business hours.

  1. Before any inmate is allowed visitation, he/she is required to submit a list of authorized visitors to the front office. This list must be on file by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the visit to be valid.
  2. You must show valid photo identification, such as driver's license, passport, or government I.D.
  3. The only children allowed to visit are the inmate's children. Birth certificates are required and mother's and father's names must appear on the birth certificate. Step-children are not allowed to visit. Siblings under 18 may visit with a parent; however, they are required to have a birth certificate also.
  4. Visits are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and you must appear at least 15 minutes prior to the visit. All visits last one hour.

REPORTING OF SEXUAL ABUSE, MISCONDUCT, HARASSMENT, OR A SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF IMMINENT SEXUAL ABUSE

Any person may confidentially disclose incidents of sexual misconduct, sexual contact, sexual abuse and sexual harassment of a detainee to any Cass County Sheriff's Office staff member, either verbally or in writing.

Any person
can write to the PREA Coordinator in regards to allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual abuse or sexual harassment of a detainee.

This information will be forwarded to the PREA Coordinator and Administrator, for further investigation.

The Administrator will ensure the PREA Coordinator will conduct a professional investigation to determine the appropriate course of action in regards to the allegations.
